Where it all began... Established in 1995 at the Senior's room in the Carseland Community Hall, Pastor Jim Rilling and his wife Teresa planted a new church in Carseland after serving a number of years at the Strathmore Alliance Church. For a few years Sunday Services continued at the community hall but a small, portable office was provided for meetings, bible studies and youth activities.

Moving Forward... It was the spring of 1999 before Bow River Alliance had a building to call it's own chapel. Purchased from Pincher Creek, the portable chapel was transported to Carseland and placed on a highly visible lot on main street across from the Carseland restaurant and grocery store. Later that fall a second portable building
was added on to provide a well-needed fellowship hall;

 after many hours of hard work and preparation Bow River Alliance now had a general meeting room, classroom, kitchen and nursery.
Youth Outreach... Graciously, the church continued to grow, especially the youth program with the extraordinary leadership of our Youth Pastor, Deb Widdifield. Additional portable buildings were brought in to facilitate the growing number of youth and ever-expanding youth centre which has proven to be a great outreach program for the community.

The future at Bow River Alliance... In early summer of 2006 Pastor Jim Rilling and his wife Teresa had announced their resignation at Bow River Alliance Church. From August 2006 until June 2006 Pastor Dennis Hansen and his wife Dorrie accepted the interim position of leading our church through transition until a new Pastor was called. Gratefully and with much anticipation, July 2007 is when Pastor Andy Wiebe and his wife Lynnette and two daughters moved to their new home in Carseland to carry forward the vision of leading our church and our community for the glory of God.

Community Outreach...  We serve the community of Carseland and area by offering a number of programs including Children’s Church Sunday mornings, Youth on Friday nights, as well as weekly Care Groups. We also have a few special events we do regularly: Family Day Celebrations, Easter Eggstravaganza, and Aggie Days Church Service. We also put on an annual Vacation Bible School each summer.

As We Grow... Bow River Alliance's doors are always open for training seminars, baby dedications, baptisms and group picnics at the Bow River Wyndham Park day use area.  Each year over the summer vacation Bow River Alliance welcomes all children to our Vacation Bible School program in the first week of August.
